Entrepreneurial conferences: next steps

After four months of debate and nine working groups, the entrepreneurial conferences concluded at the end of April 2013 with the definition of 44 measures demonstrating governmental support of entrepreneurs. The two initiators of this exchange between entrepreneurs and politicians remain vigilant. "Entrepreneurship is still not very present in political discourse", underlines Philippe Hayat, founder of the 100,000 Entrepreneurs Association; "these conferences have involved many months of educational work into current funding ecosystems in the political world", adds Jean-David Chamboredon, spokesperson for the Mouvement des Pigeons. Following these conferences, the continued strength of the French entrepreneurial system will occur through the implementation of measures such as the establishment of a right to failure with the Banque de France, raising the awareness of young people in a business spirit, establishment of a start-up visa, and more favourable taxation of capital gains on transfer.
