15 September 2014: effective date of the status of student-entrepreneur

To encourage young entrepreneurs to take the plunge, the new status of student entrepreneur which will be implemented on 15 September combines studies with support for entrepreneurship. This new status is largely inspired from that currently existing for high level sports professionals, namely that it is necessary to be a student or new graduate (with a baccalaureate) and 28 years of age at most. It is also necessary to have submitted an entrepreneurial project to one of the 29 PEPITE commissions (Student For Innovation, Transfer and Entrepreneurship Centres), which are empowered to receive applications.

Selected candidates will then benefit on the one hand from the status of student and its benefits, notably student social security. And on the other hand, support by a business leader, access to a coworking area and support network. Young entrepreneurs will finally sign a Company Support Contract with one of the PEPITE partners to which it is attached.

With this status, it will be possible to obtain a student-entrepreneur diploma (D2E). It should be noted that this status may be obtained for company creation or takeover.
