Certificate of registration

The Kbis extract represents the true updated "identity card" for a company registered in the Trade and Companies Register (RCS).
This document, which can be defined as the updated civil status of companies registered in the RCS, includes all of the information that the company is required to declare and record, if applicable, any remarks made by the registrar responsible for maintaining this register. Since the fundamental objective of the Trade and Companies Register (RCS) is to make the information contained in its register publicly available, anyone can request and obtain the Kbis extract for a company from the registry office concerned.  
The Kbis extract certifies the legal existence of the company and gives provides verified, authentic information. It is the only official document that proves the identity and address of the legal entity or natural person registered, its business, its management, administrative, financial or control bodies, as well as the existence or not of insolvency proceedings brought against it.
In most cases, to be enforceable, the Kbis extract requested must be less than 3 months old.

 

The Kbis extract is a certified, authentic instrument of information provided about the company at the Trade and Companies Register. It is the only official document that proves the identity and address of the legal entity or natural person registered, its business, as well as the existence or not of a insolvency proceedings brought against it.

 

Why Kbis?
For a legal entity, it is called a Kbis extract and for a natural person, a K extract.
The Kbis extract (for a legal entity) or K extract (for a natural person) may only be issued by the Registry office of the Commercial court, following a request made by any interested party.
 

What is a Kbis extract used for?
The Kbis extract (or Kbis) is usually requested when:
• tendering for a public procurement contract;
• opening a new bank account;
• purchasing professional equipment from distributors.

In most cases, the Kbis extract requested must be less than 3 months old. After which, we recommend that you order a new Kbis extract the registrar of the Commercial court concerned. You can order the extract via Infogreffe.

PLEASE NOTE: Only the official document ordered from the registry office, issued and signed by the registrar of the Commercial court, is valid for all administrative procedures.
These official documents can be ordered and sent by post from Infogreffe's site.

The Kbis extract (or Kbis) is the only official document that contains all the information that the company is required to declare. In other words, the Kbis extract includes all the information provided to the Trade and Companies Register:
• the name of the registry office where the registration was made;
• the company name, acronym, trade name;
• the registration number (formerly known as the SIREN number);
• the legal form (SARL, SA, GIE, SCI etc.);
• the currency and the amount of the share capital;
• the address of the registered office;
• the company's duration;
• the date of incorporation;
• the NAF Code [business sector]
• the detailed activity (description);
• the address of the principal office;
• function, full name, date of birth, place of birth, nationality and address of the principal director, directors and statutory auditors.

The Kbis extract provides verified information, as of its issue date. All judgements of the Commercial Court in safeguarding proceedings such as bankruptcy protection, receivership and court-ordered liquidation are also recorded in the company's Kbis extract.

 

To order your Kbis extract (Kbis) please:
1: Use the search form to go to the Infogreffe data sheet of the company which interests you.
2: On this company data sheet, go to the Official documents section and click on the tab "Kbis extract".
3: Select the transmission method (email/post) of your chosen document. It will be automatically added to the shopping cart.
4: Click on: 'Complete my order': or the shopping cart at the top of the page and follow the steps in the order tunnel to receive your official document and your receipt.

Periodical issue
You will be asked whether you want to receive a copy regularly during the order process of a Kbis extract. In the order section of the Kbis extract, you must tick the "Post" box, then specify the frequency (in months) and the time period that you want to receive the document. The maximum period to receive regular updates is 24 months.
Once ordered, Kbis extract will be automatically sent to you by post, according to your chosen frequency.

 

By default, the mailings will be sent to the mailing address in your profile : however, you have the option to specify a different address either during the order process, or for the entire duration of the regular mailings. In this case, the change will be effective for all post after you make the change (see Help" Receiving regular mailings " ).

Example: If you have selected "receive every 3 months, for a period of 24 months", you will receive 8 envelopes each containing 1 Kbis extract in addition to the letter sent today.
The extracts from the Trade and Companies Register (RCS) are invoiced at the applicable regulated rate (€3.12 + €0.89 for postage costs).

For what types of companies is it possible to sign up for regular mailings?
The companies for which you can sign up to be sent the Kbis extract on a regular basis via Infogreffe are retailers/traders, companies, GIE and private companies registered at the Trade and Companies Register, across all registry offices (with the exception of the Tribunaux d'instance [courts of first instance], Tribunaux de grande instance [district courts] and some courts in DOM-TOM).

It is not possible to receive regular Kbis extracts for the following companies:
- companies de-registered from the RCS,
- companies that have filed their articles of association but not yet registered at the RCS,
- companies that have not been data processed (summary dossiers);
- companies in court-ordered liquidation proceedings.
If you are subscriber to Infogreffe and you have asked to be sent a Kbis extract for a company regularly, these regular mailings will be automatically suspended if the company is de-registered from the register, or court-ordered liquidation proceedings are brought against the company concerned.

Supervising you regular mailings
At any time, you can view the characteristics of your regular mailings of Kbis extracts (planned dates for mailings, dates of extracts sent with reference to the corresponding order).
The tracking interface also allows you to change the delivery details (email and/or postal address) for each of your regular mailings.

From the link "Recent purchases" located at the top of each page, you can also enter the reference number of a regular mailing in order to see the details of mailings sent and future mailings for a company.

Infogreffe subscriber and member
You can track your regular mailings in your account under the heading "My regular mailings". This feature gives you access to the list of companies for which you have signed up to receive regular Kbis extracts, as well as the detail of the mailings (future and completed) for each of these companies.
If you are subscriber to Infogreffe, you can also stop to the regular mailings for a company from this page.

 

Extract from the special register of sales agents
Like the Kbis extract for which it is the equivalent for sales agents, the extract from the special register of sales agents is a document which includes all the updated formalities, as of the issue date, made in the special register of sales agents held by the registry offices of the Commercial courts.

Extract from the special register of EIRLs [limited liability sole trader]
Like the Kbis extract for which it is the equivalent for sales agents, the extract from the special register of EIRL is a document which includes all the updated formalities, as of the issue date, made in the special register of sole traders with limited liability held by the registry offices of the Commercial courts.

- Extract from the Trade and Companies Register (on site, at the registry office) 3.12 euros
- Extract from the Trade and Companies Register (sent by email) 4.06 euros
