Two overviews of contributions to the "legal debate of the 21st Century" are available

In extension of the debate launched at UNESCO by Mrs Christiane Taubira, Minister for Justice, on the issue of justice in the 21st century, on 10 and 11 January 2014, consultation was undertaken locally by the presiding judges at the courts of appeal.

580 general meetings held in 325 jurisdictions led to over 2000 contributions to the debate in which many representatives of the Legal professions participated. An overview of this wide scale consultation has been undertaken by the Ministry for Justice.

Two documents constitute this overview. The first summarises the contributions of jurisdictions, the second that of lawyers, clerks to the Commercial Courts, bailiffs and notary publics.

These works are intended to serve as a basis for the "future announcements by the minister on a large-scale reform".
