Court of Cassation

A (unique) jurisdiction at the top of the hierarchy for civil and criminal legal jurisdictions. Responsible for favouring the unit of interpretation of legal rules, the Court of Cassation, referred a matter in appeal, can only rule on questions of law and not of fact, which are left to the sovereign appreciation of investigative judges (first instance and court of appeal).
