The surge in crowdfunding, or participative financing, has led the Financial Market Authorities (AMF) and the Prudential Control Authorities (ACP) to publish two guides concerning the new rules for this practice; the first is for the general public, and the second for project managers. The purpose of these guides is to clarify the regulatory framework and improve the readability of this new funding method aimed at gathering financing from the public-at-large, often on-line, with a view to funding a creative project (music, publication, film) or entrepreneurial project.
