On 3 and 4 June, all entrepreneurs, transferors or buyers of companies will meet at the Palais des Congrès in Paris for the 3rd Company Transmission Day (JTE). These days, organised by the Order of Chartered Accountants of Paris Île-de-France, the Regional Company of Auditors of Paris and the Paris Chamber of Notaries, allow for exchange, debate and response to the primary concerns of business managers: sale of a company, family inheritance, redeployment of professional activities, drafting of a transfer agreement, tax issues for transfers. On the agenda are workshops, plenary conferences, case studies, free consultations and advice by the partners present.
The JTE will be held several days after publication by the CRA Observatory (business transferors and purchasers) ofits study on the transfer of SMEs. The study notably observes that a transfer takes place on average every 15 years, which potentially represents 15,000 companies per annum, with the primary reason for transfer being going into retirement.
