All students under 28 years old can benefit from the status of student-entrepreneur, insofar as they hold the baccalaureate or equivalent of this level. Any person can be given this status, provided that the entrepreneurial project is real and of good quality and they have the required qualities. It is the PEPITE recruitment committee which analyses applications for the ministry for higher education and research. This committee comprises the educational director of the institute awarding the "Student-entrepreneur" diploma (D2E), representatives from the PEOITE and their partners.
There are currently 29 student centres for innovation, Transer and Entrepreneurship (PEPITE) in France.
The status of student-entrepreneur allows access to services issued in the framework of PEPITE: support by a teacher and external point of contact of the PEPITE network; access to PEPITE coworking; possibility of signing a Commercial Support Contract (CAPE).
All students who wish can develop their pathway which will lead them towards completing their entrepreneurial project, whatever their choice (collective, individual, social and solidarity economy). The PEPITE recruitment committee will analyse whether entry onto the diploma leading to the "student-entrepreneur" (D2) status is necessary.
